It's time for me to order my house batteries, and I find Lifeline prices are running pretty high right now, especially with s&h to my location in Colorado. I have found a reasonable deal on MK batteries with the same specs, with what I consider to be a good deal on s&h. I have had good experiences with Lifeline's, but saving a buck is saving a buck if all other factors are the same. Anyone have experience with MKs? Anyone? Good, Bad, ugly? Jay 87 SaftLiner |

Understand, I am not knocking Lifeline. I have MK, have had them 1yr. now and just looked a couple of wks. ago to make sure they were still there. My reasons for MK: They spec. and are constructed identical to Lifeline. They are built by Deka for MK and Deka is the World's largest manufacturer of AGM's. They were approx. 40% less than Lifeline. MK has a very extensive distributor network--Lifeline is the exclusive distributor of their batteries and a lot of dealers have never heard of them. Most of their dealer network are marine outlets and aviation, with a few high end RV dealers coming on-board in recent yrs. When I bought mine I got them from a dealer who does rv shows and rallies, he ordered them out of Portland, next day the freight company delivered them to my bus in the RV park, 8 Gp 31 235ah, s&h $50.00. For reference, mine were $147 ea. delivered. |

Thanks for your input James. I found four MK 8D AGM's, with s&h, to my doorstep in Colorado for $1323. That's the best deal I have found by at least $100. Not too bad for 632lbs of lead. Jay |
