are you talking about porpusing?(spelled wrong)if so,would say it's the shocks...or are the tires bounceing tires, does it do it when you slip it into neutral,at 60....even if you have an automatic...bump the throttle & see if it rolls...one brake could be hanging up...

When something occurs suddenly you have to suspect a component failure. In this case, the first suspect is a tire. Swap tires with drive or tag axle to see if it is a tire. Both a broken belt and an internal separation can only be seen by spinning the wheel at highway speed on a balancing machine.

Sounds like the blounche filter is clogged and the by-pass has opened, allowing the wheels to bounce on alternating cycles. have the filter changed to one of the new titanioum/ceramic types and get back to us so we kow how it went. akrom
better yet, check for a busted/split shock.

Check air pressures on tag axle and front end tires.
Check tag axle air ride, too little pressure will remove load balancing support and allow the front to go too light.
Cruisers need lots of support from the tags due to serious rear overhang behind the axle. Its a balancing act. I found that out when I had mine and removed the tires from the tags. The front was so light that the suspension would run all the way up with air applied. That's another reason that GM put duals on the tags.

tag was up..then down..and it didnt make any difference..i had a mechanic with me and he had no idea..he checked the shocks, tire preasure, steering box...ill have them check the blounche filter...? or whatever is sounds like..everyone has different names and i couldnt find that ove in the book..
it is not a dolphin..it is defenitly a hop and a rather bad one at that.
my bed was when i hit that bump in NC that i did in fact break a shock but they said no...
ill let you know...i have to be out of her ein a week or two..

Jack each front wheel up. Position the valve stem at each "hour position" (10:00 , 2:00, 6:00 etc.)and release. If the wheel rotates back to a certain position you have an out of balance condition. In my 4104 it was due to unbalanced drums. (You can balance the tire/wheel forever and not catch this.) I found it by accident when I jacked up the bus to rotate tires. Went to the truck parts store & they said that balanced drums wouldn't make any difference due to the rotating mass. I insisted, paid $10 more per drum & the problem disappeared! Old drums had no balance weights, new drums have BIG chunks of steel welded to outside!

I have had truck tire shops tell me that balancing duals would not help either. That is pure BS!. It can make a significant difference in wheels/tires and I am sure would make a difference if the dual drums were not balanced.
