Will the bay floor hold a 100 gal propane tank or should it be attached to the bulkhead?

If they will hold 100+ gallon water and waste tanks in one bay, a propane tank won't be a problem.

only problem you will have is ....some propane supplyers will not fill it..(enclosed area)...I drilled about 100 3/8" holes in the floor..I have a 66 gallon propane tank,a 55 gallon black/grey & a 55 gallon freshwater,a 20 gallon hot water heater,12 volt pump,50' of service cable in rear bay...spare trans in front bay & golf cart in middle bay....

Depends on the bus & it's condition. Greyhound used to carry 8V71s in the bays, but they knew where to look for cracks & etc. during regular maintence. The bay floors were designed to carry loads. The bulkheads were designed to support the bus structure, BUT NOT for heavy loads to be attached to them. So if the bays are not damaged, mount the tank on the floor and don't forget serviceability & codes.

There are rules & codes for mounting propane tanks in moving vehicles. Find the ones that apply to your situation & read them to understand the intent. They cover scenarios we normally would not think of, but if an unfortunate event occurs, you will be glad for the extra safety. Propane is considered safe because of the widely accepted proceedures concerning handling & use. Disregard for these procedures can lead to headlines & obituarues.

Its quite EZ and cheap to get a remote fill setup from the same propane folks.

Install it so they can fill from outside the coach & ALL will happily fill you.

Many folks prefer larger say 6X6 vent holes as their usually easier to screen the crawleys out of than hundreds of smaller holes.

Just remember to add 30% to the vent area to make up for the screen .
