#1 - Build air pressure up to the govenor cut-out (about 120 psi).

#2 - Release parking brake.

#3 - AFTER releasing parking brake, make a full, floored, service brake application, hold for 3-5 seconds.

#4 - Release service brake and attempt to move coach. DO NOT SLIP THE CLUTCH EXCESSIVELY.

If the above procedure doesn't work, re-apply parking brake (without your foot on the service brake) and repeat steps 1 - 4 above.

If repeating the procedure doesn't work, it's time to get out the jack and blocks to safely get under the coach to determine the reason the brakes aren't releasing.

With damp weather, it's possible the shoes have "stuck" to the drums on the drive axle. A 3 lb. dead-blow rubber mallot may be all that's necessary to "persuade" the shoes to move, but you have to have the coach SECURELY blocked up in order to engage in such activities.

"Rocking" the coach is a good way to burn up a clutch, if it's still a stick-shift.

This is a great suggestion from RJ I will add one more. Bend over Pull up the brake pedal and see after following the above if that does not release it.

Check the condition of your DD3,s. Could be worn and not releasing.

Richard, this is fairly common with DD3's. I've BTDT with my old MC8 that had these cans. For me it was a deteriorated can, with the diaphrams leaking air from the lock side to the service side.

Like the others suggest, it could be anything in the air lines, regulators, and valves that control this fairly complex system.

Do a search here on BNO of "DD3" and you'll get a LOT of great info.
