I want to smooth side my 9 from the beltline (just above the baggage doors) up and then repaint.

At Bussin' 2006 someone was telling me about a type of fiberglass that was available in any width (up to what I needed) and up to 700' long.

The product name and website was so simple that I failed to write it down.

However, after four more days of bussin' input I seem to have overwritten most of that directory in my head.

Does anyone know what I'm looking for or, simply, what are some of my other options.

Thanks,

SteveG

New and used parts. Shipping nationwide

I will forward Gary’s information soon as available.

Yup! Filon comes in sheets or rolls, and should be glued on.
It's tough to do it, since you only have one shot to get it into
place with the glue. There's a bunch written on doing it, in the
archives here. Some mention of using hinges at the bottom,
so the entire piece can be "swung up" and affixed more easily.

One thing, though.... Since the sides (in and out) of an MC9
comprise the engineered structure, are you planning on stripping
the original stainless steel and replacing it with Filon? (hope not)

PS…the panel shows fiber-grain on surface….not like glass surface. But can’t beat the low-low price.
