I went to Quartzsite today and was surprised at the few people and vendors there were. I looked up the bus cafe, went in and got smoothie. It was great. The bus is a flex. the kitchen is in the rear with booths on the right side and stools on the left. He has an internet hookup there. The cost is $ 4.00 for all day. It is located right across from the B-10 CAMPGROUND on the main drag. |

Quartzsite peak activity is always the week before the Super Bowl. Told to me by the same local who explained they couldn't agree on whether to use "z" or "s" in the name so the compromise was to use both. Old minds sure pick up a lot of trash, don't they? |

I wonder if the trend to keep moving the Superbowl date back, farther and farther intot he year (Now Feb 5 when it started about Jan 11th) when it gets too hot in Quartzsite? Pretty soon, Superbowl will be on April Fools and then Flag Day in June! FWIW |

Lots of buses all over Quartzsite. We're in the vendor area at Yorkdale Merchant Market on Kuehn Road just east of Beaudry RV in our red & white MCI, passing out copies of our Gypsy Journal RV newspaper. Any bus nuts in the area, stop on by and say hello. We also have our free WiFi connection on every day if you have a laptop and need to check your e-mail. |
