Here's what I want to do. My 81 MCI 9 is all sheeted with 1/4" luan. I thinking I might "kool seal" the inside. Has anyone ever done this? Are there any problems with other final covering sticking?, ie headliners. Or with it peeling off? I thought I saw this done on a 405 GMC featured in Bus Conversions. Thanks for your input Jay Gerlick |

I think regular paint will give fewer problems and a better look. Cool Seal is for the outside of leaky teakys in a desperate attempt to seal out water with out repairs.. The fact that its WHITE is what gives the "Cool" FAST FRED |

You can do the inside if you want. I did it on our Eagle just to use up the left over and never had any problems in the little time that we owned it. It helped in all the ways that it would help by using it outside! Ace |

Jay, I have my roof coated with Kool Seal. After doing some welding on the roof I sprayed some primer with laquer thinner in it, and it wrinkled the Kool Seal before the thinner evaporated. If you think you would ever put lacquer over it you would need a primer sealer first. HTH Ed. |

wrong product, it is UV cured and will not cure, also, you can use latex paint over it but nothing solvent based..its for roofs.. |

KOOL SEAL is OBSOLETE! check out ceramic coatings! a lot of us ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/schoolbusconversionuts ) have been using it for years. we prefer BUS KOTE from http://www.hytechsales.com it works INCREDABLY good! note you can buy the additive alone for your paint. |

Absolutely NOT for inside. Very smelly petro base. |

I'm looking to get the Kool Seal off my roof. I started sanding it off. After fifteen feet in four hours, there has to be an easier way. I do not want to eat up the rubber hinge in the drip rail / window frames. I'm going to two paint shops tomorrow to get bids on my bus. Almost ready to use. Still plenty to do with the insides.
