The roof is raised and welded all windows are framed in and welded. all skin except for 3 small pieces are hung but need riveted. I bought 2 rivet pullers from harbour freight the long handled ones and neither one worked. I bought a stanley swivel head and it works great. for the 75 stainless rivets I put extentions on the handles of an old puller I had and that worked ok. the field rivets on the new ski are going to be counter sunk flush so when I put the vinyl grafics on they will be nice and smooth. I removed the ac condenser and put my gen. in that little bay with vented door and fan in bottom. I have my electrical panel and 3 power cord boxes bolted in. my inverter is bolted in and my battery box is built and batteries are installed. Propane tank is installed. I'll finish riveting by monday night and will install toilet then put cabinets in the bus but not permanently. I'll be in Indiana next weekend and get my windows. looks like I'll be driving a steel tent for a while. |

I have watched (helped) Ron work, and there is little wasted motion. If he goes over to work for 4 hours, he gets 3 hours and 50 minutes of productive time in. From purchase to living full time (including four days on the road) I spent 6 months and 9 days, and had less than 35 hours of outside help on my 4905. Stay focused, and work long hours. |

Yeah, but then your mind goes hay-wire and you start repeating yourself. |

John, TFG (that forgetful guy!) LOL! No, what you're seeing is how JJ and Capt. Ron stay so focused and get so much work done! - - o 0 o - - I spend alot of intense time in front of a computer, so "checking in to the BBs" every hour or two is part of my 5 min/hr. mental break. I hope I can stay as focused once I get the engine back in the '81 and into the shop for the roof raise. Onward and Upward. |

I won't go the "roof raise route", but have utmost respect for those that do. I am about to have the time that I need, to get enough done to roll outta' here! (having the wife (and I) healthy, is the most important gain!!) Wishing all of you luck (and good health)! |

LOL Oh and Niles, I am starting to drink more! It's one of my New resolutions for 2006. It keeps me from replying to wannabees on this and the other site! CDB's huh? They won't spit on me will they?
