Received it today and it is a trick little item. Very easy to install and it has the capability of having 2 camera's attached along with night vision which is actually a dimmer. It also has the capability to be reversed by means of a micro switch. It's not color but who cares? It's compact size (5") and easy to use will work fine for me! The b&w picture is very clear and the camera has it's own SS adjustable mounting bracket and a seperat hood! Plenty of cable to run from front to rear! Well worth the money which was less than a c-note! It's made by Jensen and I found it on e-bay FWIW !

Been using the Jensen for 2 years and they are great for the price.

I guess I should have been more specific, I was looking for the LxWxD measurements to see where it would fit in my dash area. Or, if you could, Dave can you email me the spec sheet.

Thanks

I got the camera mounted last night. Kind of scary drilling holes in the rear cap since there never were any but after taking out the center clearance light (per friends advice) I could see what to expect. What I found was a space of about 5 inches to a wall. Was this MY cabinet back or was this an inner shell? Not knowing for sure, I took a small drill bit and welded it to a piece of 1/4 inch od tubing to make it longer. I proceeded to drill a small hole downward, hoping to get inside the coach "someplace". While Susan was shining a light from inside, I could see I did go thru, but where exactly? No hole came into the rear cabinet so our guess was it went above it which in a way is a good thing. After that hole was made, I made a larger 1/2 inch hole. Now I could see a lot of light but still couldn't see where it was from inside, so I took my steel fish tape and worked it in from the outside. When it came thru the inside it was indeed above my rear cabinet. I tied on a piece of rope and pulled it back out the rear clearance light. At that time I drilled a hole just below the light and ran my camera cable thru and secured it to the rope. Susan pulled the rope and in came the cable. I mounted the rear camera and the cable already had a grommet for the hole so that is sealed and done. As I did this Susan hooked up the cable for a test. It worked excpet for one thing. Everything was upside down! Had to climb the ladder and turn the camera over. Once that was done, it was finally time for dinner! It works good except this morning while trying it, it seemed to be a bit fogged up. This could be a problem if leaving a park or similar in the early morning hours but I figure I'm never up that early anyway so no potential problem here!

All I have left to do is run the cable thru the roof which is not in yet and down to the monitor.
The easy part!

Oh, and I purchased a second kit for a friend that wanted one. For what you get, you can't beat the price especially made by Jensen!

Thanks again, Dave for the tip!

Ace, if the fog you experienced is on the inside of the camera window, find any air leaks or holes you may have in the outer case and plug them with silicone!!

Many rear view cameras I've seen have purposely designed air holes, I guess for altitude... but if you live in a place where humidity changes a lot (don't we all?) moisture can (and will) get inside and eventually it will build up and it's very likely it'll trash the camera's circuit board with electrolysis. I had this happen once. Not good.

I seal my camera housing completely, and before I do I stick a little baggie of silica gel dessicant inside as well to make sure it stays super dry. Since I did that I've never had fog again, and it's worked perfectly at all temperatures and weather conditions. Altitude changes (sea level to 9000 feet in my case) make no difference to the seal

If not, you can send me a check for the 80 bucks plus whatever shipping is to your destination which might be more going out of the states and I'll get you one! Cananda shipping might take a little longer also!
