Hi all,
I am getting close to installing the ceiling in my 4106 and I have a question on what foam backing to use.
I plan to glue foam to the plywood and them glue vinyl to the foam I have done this before when making door panels for street rods, but I am worried about what density of foam for the ceiling as I don't want it to seperate or come off.
Can anyone reccommend what type to use, and where to purchase it in large rolls?
Thanks

I used landau foam 1/4 or 5/16 thick. It is dense and does a very nice job.Easy to handle and install using landau glue.Been on for 3 years with no problems. It's available at fabric or upholstry places. Marc

You can buy vinyl with 1/4" foam already attached. Comes in 54 " wide rolls and as long as you want. About 8.00 sq yd wholesale, google it and good luck.

Glue the foam to the plywood but don't glue the vinyl to the plywood it will wrinkle when you pull the vinyl tight. I used 1/2" foam on the ceiling.
