Some woman parked next to it, just opened her Buick door, and creased the side of it. Wadda' shame. |

You Don't beleive? People that are accepted as bidders at the Barrett Jackson are thoroughly checked out with Letters of Credit from their banks etc. Bidding at that place is a binding contract, so I doubt the guy bid just for the sake of bidding only to have to spend a bunch in legal fees to TRY to get out of it. |

Any one know the seller and the history of the unit. I remember a very rusted shell was for sale a couples years back. Also from what I heard is was a museum that purchased it and they also purchased the potiac concept cars eariler for $2.8 mil. |

Not who purchased the bonneville, but it was not the same guy. The buyer may be involved with a museum but his bidding style was not of one who was bidding with other peoples $$ especially on the Elvis Car This unit was from an owner in Canada |

As I understand it, the unit that just sold was the one on the Futuerliner site in the FIDO paint scheme |

Craig Jackson made a statement that the futerliner is going to to same museum as the bonneville. CNN is also reporting the same: http://money.cnn.com/2006/01/22/Autos/funonwheels/gm_futurliner/index.htm?cnn=yes |

Ahh, The guy who lost at first actually bought it. At Knock down the winner bidder was not the same as the Bonneville which was a few cars earlier. That explains the drop of 100,000 in price then too |

I was gonna buy it... had it bid up pretty high...kept on thinkin' I would be the high bidder, then it went over 3.75 million so I dropped out. Oh well my current bus is quite a bit newer and I didn't spend anywhere near that much for it. Guess it will have to do for now. Mark |
