I was changing fuel filters today on bus and degreasing engine. i noticed a small dip of anti frezze on oil filter. looking closly i saw it coming from a housing above filter. it is on left of the blower case. anyone have an idea what that piece is ?

engine is a 6-71 4104

Hi Morgan & Folks:

By now, you must realize there are no "Stupid" questions, but there certainly can be "Stupid" answers.

Without seeing it, it sounds like your water pump might be the culprit.

To be sure, it is a little bulbous guy mounted to the engine blower, with a "weep hole" on the bottom of it. Stick your little finger in that hole (WITH THE ENGINE SHUT OFF!!!!), and if it has "GREEN" on it, you have found the culprit.
