Ian,
Often when I'm typing a small red box flashes at the bottom with an "X" at its left and says "Find"? Then everything I type shows up in the red box? It also makes all my words run together?
I am unable to make editing changes while typing like deleting or copying and pasting??
Is anyone else having this happen? |

Typing alt-e-f in mozilla brings up the 'find' box you are talking about.
Press ESC to make it go away.
Only you will be able to figure out how you are hitting that key combination in the first place. |

Gus,
It's never happened to me. I am on Netscape v7.2 and test the board on that and the significantly inferior IE v6 and the problem doesn't occur.
I can make what the others do, happen, but I fail to get a red box.
Anyone else ponder a thought here?

I get it while I'm typing a posting and also when I hit Ctl-C or Ctl-X..
The ESC sounds like the best solution, thanks to all for help. If I ever hit alt-e-f I wasn't aware of it. (I just copied and pasted the alt-e-f, I can't do either when the dreaded red box appears and the space bar quits working??) It only happens when I type all the way to the bottom of this "Add a Message" box.
Ian, I thought maybe you were trying to cut down the post lengths!! Just kidding! |
