I have a bus that runs mostly off genset. when i drive down road genny is runnin. most time when i stop im at a racetrack and can plug into a power source.
Occassionally i cant make it to my destination in one day and camp at a flying j for night. how do i figure what i need for amp hours . i need to run maybe a few lights here and there and maybe water pump for toilet. i looked at batteries today and seen some deep cell in the 65-75 amp hr ratio. how many would i need , how long it last ? any help would be great thanks guys

I posted this about a month ago, a cool device called Priority Start
I got one for my 82 year old mom who couldn't manage to remember to turn stuff off or shut her car door well enough, so she was getting a dead battery about three times a month.
I stuck one of these nifty devices in her car and now it's been in her car for a month I can report that it works as advertised, perfectly.
For apps like Morgan, where you just don't know how much juice you're using but want to avoid a dead battery, it's perfect. It will let you drain the battery away with your stereos, pumps, lights... and when it gets down to a charge level that's getting "low" but still enough to get you started, it automatically disconnects.
Check them out.... they are everything they say they are. (Mom is VERY happy... no more dead car) |
