OUR 16 DAY TRIP IS OVER! [BUMMER]
We had so much fun on our Florida trip! Most of all, we met a lot of nice people. Racked up 2800 miles on the bus, and an additional 700 on the Jeep from driving around. We did 5 Orlando Parks, Than down to Bonita Springs for 5 days.
Boy, It feels good when your bus doesn't let you down! And what is a trip without something going wrong. Like my generator overheating and the steering collum on the jeep locking up around a turn near Arcadia, Yes, I drug the Jeep for about a mile with the tires turned! Man, thoes tires were hot!
Bottom Line- I met a lot of you bus guys, like Rich at IBP, Greg Paciga, Jack Conrad, Dr. Dave Hartly, Joe & Robert from Chicago, Rod, who custom made my sun screens in Orlando,. Also Thank You to all the people who invited us to stop by, wish we had more time, we would have!
Well, all the work that you put into your bus is most enjoyed when you are in the presents of other bus guys who have been there, done that! Nobody else can even concieve what you have done!!!!
One thing that stands out is when I met Joe and robert from Chicago, When I was checking out Joe's 87 LaMirage, I noticed a 6ft long stainless Webber BBQ in his bay with wheels on it, when I asked if it rolled out, He laughed while picking up a 6 channel airplane remote control! YES! you herd me right! He not only drove it out of the bay but also hit a button and it rose up to cooking hight. Just when I thought that was the coolest thing I've ever seen, he proceeded to put about 6 hamburgers on it, fired it up, and drove it around the park while we walked about 60 ft. behind it. I laughed so hard while walking and watching the reaction of people in disbelif and smelling burgers actually cooking!!
He is one of thoose loose screws, you know!
He also showed me a video of his Jet powered OUTHOUSE!

Nick, glad ya had a blast! remote controled BBQ now that's cool and someone who has way toooo much time on his hands LOL! Still cool though! Now on that Jet powered outhouse! I guess I won't even try to post any pics of my "solar powered outhouse!" YA thats right a solar powered out house! But it ain't no compitition for a Jet powered one so I quit enviromentaly! LOL or at least mentally! |

Glad to hear your bus performed without problems! That's the one thing that worries me most...broke down on the side of a road..out of adult beverages..gads.
What happened with the Jeep? I've got a 99 Cherokee and don't want to have a preventable issue with the steering lock.
A remote controlled Barbee is cool! Need a pix of that!

Hello JR,
My Jeep is a 95 Grand Cherokee Limited but, the problem was, I think I didn't properly set the ignition switch! It didn't happen any more after that!

Hay guys,
I'm trying to get Joe to email me a video of the BBQ, When I get it I will Post It!
I still have to down load the pics out of my mem-card, but I assure you this BBQ is a sleeper!
