i am looking in to joining FMCA. The Frightliners club ask that you be a member so you can join the freightliners owners chassis club, or a John Deere. the reason I'm asking there is said to be journals and maintains manuals with electrical and hydraulic diagrams you can down load. After spending a lot of time and money for manuals that turned out to be just operator booklets. Id some one is a member and can look for me as to the John Deere manuals I'd be more that happy to join. Thank you Mike

Hi Mike
I have been a FMCA member for many years. There maybe downloadable manuals, but if there are, I don't know where they are. It maybe something that your division, the Freighliners/John Deere section has but not FMCA itself. If you have an idea where to look, I would be happy to look.

Go to FMCA online and click on chapters.
You will find what you are looking for.

califbob, I just checked out the FMCA chapters and either I'm looking in the wrong place or for the wrong thing. Could you be a little more specific about this??
Gratefully, Dale MC8

FOCA Ferightliners including Oshkosh, John Deere are a sub Chapter of FMCA. in This group online i understand there are old manuals that are down loadable for these Chassis. My concern is joining the FMCA and joining the FOCA to find out the manuals don't exist, money not well spent as far as i feel. But the FMCA is a great group if you travel alot or full time it from what i have heard. I did send an email to the Question and answer guy at FOCA and haven't heard back from him ,hopefully i do. the FOCA has a separate web site than FMCA. thank you for any help on this matter

I suspect that you are looking for manuals for that EMC rig?

I doubt that even the FOCA is going to even be close if they have anything that odd or old.

Most of what they might have would be for the late model rear pushers or the high line stuff and doubt seriously that they would have info on a shuttle bus chassis.

You will need to contact the manufacturer or MSO reman outfit that put their name on it. Then work through the chassis number/style back to the original chassis manufacturer.

Or you could try to find any of the companies that might have operated them and work that to see if there were ever any shop manuals that are still laying around.

Or, Rip out all the chassis wiring and plumbing and install your own. (hard way! ).
