This'll be pretty obscure since the bus is almost alone of it's kind, at least on the road. It's '62 GMC 2773, originally a gas-powered pusher schoolie, been converted about 30 years now. The current issue is wiper motors, Trico items with no number. I've found wrecker items but sadly all are nogood on dicovery. Anyone? Any functional solution would be helpful.

I thank you for the link too.

The air wipers work fine in mine, but both my truck driver friend, and my retired truck driver friend have asked me when I'm switching them to electric. They warned me that the air wipers suck.

My first bus, a beautiful pusher Superior, had old air wipers. On my second drive up the grapevine (back in the 80's), we just got north of the big hill and headed to San Fransisco, and it started to pour.
6 hours ahead of us on that boring, straight road, and it's pouring.

So I turned on the wipers, and they worked for about 5 minutes then totally and completely failed!!

We ended up tying a rope from the drivers window to the wiper, across the bus to the passenger side and back in... and then my "guests" took turns/shifts pulling the ropes back and forth...back and forth... back and forth... for about 4 hours. What a hassle that was.
Talk about death traps, and the stupid things we did when we were kids.. :-) >!!!< :-)
