While doing some work on a sticking brake application valve, I noticed that the wiper regulating valve was leaking (hissing) right at the adjusting screw. I had pressurized the air system and the bus wasn't running which allowed me to hear this. Anyway my service manual doesn't mention how to adjust this regulator and it appears that the adjustment screw has been backed out a pretty long ways which could account for the air leak? Anyone got specs on this valve? Thanks all |

Does your bus have the "park" position for the wipers? If I recall correctly, and I could be wrong, if you don't "park" the wipers the valve will pass air. OK old timers, your turn. If I'm wrong...I do take criticism constructively and with good humor. <g> Bob |

Bob, Here comes my ignorance on this subject. "Park position", honestly I don't know what that is. I've got two independent speed control valves i.e. driver and rider, two air operated wipers and a strainer plus the regulator. I typically turn the speed control down slowing the action until blade is center post of windshield. If this makes sense. I haven't heard the term "park" before. Tom |

I know on my truck you do have to put the wipers in the park position or they will leak. to do so just turn the knob back the other way and they will retract all way down in this position. |
