Perhaps I'm the only one who lusts after the antenna-like Setra mirros that hang down from the top (good examples at http://www.setra.de/englisch/index_english.html), but I'm wondering how hard it would be to mount these on an MCI. Has anyone tried appropriating these mirrors to another bus? I understand that I'd have to run new wiring for the mirror heaters, but what I'm really wondering is how hard it is to mount them on an MCI and what it looks like. |

Rosco, an OEM supplier of mirrors, has aftermarket mirrors that are similar to the Setra/Thomas mirrors. With enough $$$ you can do just about anything. Mark O. |

Are these "dog-eared mirrors actually an improvement? Has anyone driven a bus with them? What's your opinions? |

Apart from the cosmetic concerns, the fact that they are higher up seems to make them less likely to get hit by transit buses, which I have to worry about where I generally park. Plus the Serta mirrors look like they have flex in them in case they're hit. I suppose I could just make the hinge on my mirrors more adjustable so I could fold my mirrors in whenever I park... |

Re: The Eagle mirrors above. You can do the same thing with a GMC but reverse them side for side and the curvature on the base lines up just right. ...JJ |
