I'm thinking of tiling my busfloor. Is there somebody who did this. Karl |

What type of tile are you referring to? Ceramic or vinyl tile? I know people who have done both with great success! Ace |

I'm in the process as we speak. I'm using 8" tile on a 45* diagonal. I think it was Ace that suggested using something called Flexbond for thinset. I went to my local flooring shop and asked for some and they sent me to HD. Sure enough, HD had it for $25 per bag. The flooring shop confirmed what Ace said in that Flexbond works well for applicastions that may not have rock solid floors. They use it alot in the older lake houses where the floors can be a bit spongy. |

My other question is,what is better plywood or wonderboard, even for soundprotection, and how thick it has to be? Karl |

My floors are 3/4" Advantech, which a sort bulletproof particle board. I'm going right over that. I opted not to use any other underlayment because I didn't do a roof raise and every fraction of an inch counts. |
