Well back again. I heard somewhere that the towing connection on the coach should be higher than the towbar connection on the toad. Is this correct. The 4905 is quite low and takes about a 5" rise in the ball. Thanks again for all the help everyone has been 4905 Larry |

According to Blue OX http://www.blueox.us/instruction/towingphysics101.htm the receiver should be at the same level as the car. It can be up 4" higher on the coach but never lower. There is a good explanation in the link above. Len Silva |

Roadmaster says level is best and base-plate pivot pins on car should be no more than 3" higher or 4" lower than the center-line of the receiver on their coach mounted tow bar. Although they do not mention toad mounted tow bars in the service bulletin, I would shoot for level. Not worth the risk when you consider the possibilities that can occur should the toad separate from the coach. jack |

Thank you very much Jerry, Len and Jack, Your posts were needed I have towed lots of miles but did not have such a low towing vehicle. The 4905 is quite low but I have several recievers. It is sure great to have so much help THANKS 4905 Larry. |
