My name is Dana and my husband and I have just purchased our first bus for conversion. It is a 1979 International School Bus already gutted. I need some advice on how to lay out the floor plans and need a question answered about the motor. We plan on using this as our home away from home while in Kentucky every year for a few days with 3 small children. Since where we usually camp has bathrooms, we necessarily do not need the plumbing. We know that it is a gas powered big block motor but, we need to know what size. I have tried looking for specs on the search engine with no help. Thank you to all that read this. |

If you are interested in the engine size, if it is a V8 look at the water pump. If it has about 16 bolts holding it to the block it is probably a 440. Just replace a waterpump on one in Alabama. Has 4 bolts holding fan blades to the pump. |
