The subject heading describes the question. Wondering out loud if any owners of "home grown" bus conversions will be at the FMCA rally? I don't live far from the speedway and plan to stop by and look around. Just be a one night gate pass for me. Spending 4 days right across the street, with the bus, the week prior at Fleetwood Camping Resort...just across the walkway from the speedway. Cheers, JR |

I really don't know beyond it's what FMCA people do. They seem to collect in one place, during the week, and party. They are gathering at Lowes Motor Speedway beginning on Monday 14th, August. Seems to be a big gathering. May be a good time. I'm gonna go out for an evening and see what's up. Are you nearby? Going? Cheerio, JR |

Last figures I saw, only about 5-8% of FMCA members own bus conversions, the rest are S&S. A little trivia, the FMCA was started by a few couples who had? Yep, you guessed it BUS CONVERSIONS!! |

Family Motor Coach Association was started by a few people with various types of bus conversions back in the sixties in Maine. It has grown to over 100000 thousand active members. These national conventions draws about 5000 motor coaches and vendors for anything that you could possibly need for a motor coach or bus conversion. I have attended many of these and the one that really inpressed me was the one at New Brunswick Maine on the Navy air base, Two runways, each was two miles long with four rows of motor coaches plus all taxi ways full and still some on grass. I believe the total coaches that was there was 7462. |

I'll be there. I'm a Dealer for Airtabs and will have a booth. Long way from MN, but am looking forward to being there. Pray for cool weather, although the vendor booth areas (2) will have A/C during the show. Stop in and say hello - booth # 491. Norm Edlebeck |

We will be going to the Converted Coach Pre-rally and then to the show. We will also be vendors. We will be in the Professional RV Vendors area (don’t know booth number yet). Stop by and see us as well! Norm, you surely jest about "cool weather"...August in NC and inside LMS infield?! Are you familiar with the concept of a solar oven? We got two weather patterns here in August...hot and humid, and hot and raining. And we've had very little rain this year. However, organized events at the speedway usually conjure up some pretty good storms. Watch your awnings! I'll look you up and see what you think about our down South summers! Looks like Ed, Jim, and Norm will be attending. And JR sans bus. Best, JR |
