Will a V-730 bolt right up in place of the VS2-8? Its in a 1975 am general transit the modle of the bus on the title is recon. Is there any mods that need to be done? Torque convertor? or Driveline.

The drive shaft is different and the V730 is quite a bit larger and may require bulkhead surgery too. You'll need to replace the flywheel with the flex plate that drives the V730.

Also the V730 is more heavy than the VS-8. It has to have a mount for the cradle. You would have to change the shifter also.

I had to have the 2 1/2 spacer ring and longer dog bone. I had my drive shaft cut and had to change the flange to the tranny. The cooling & filter plumbing is different on a V730.

You shouldn't have to change the differential.

Although mine is a Fishbowl I didn't have to change the differential.
