I remember a while back there was some discussion about runnin' Super Single Tires. After reading from the BB below...you either love 'em or hate 'em. This is only being posted to broaden knowledge and thoughts. http://www.classadrivers.com/phpBB2/archive/o_t/t_18776/thinking-of-running-super-single-t ires.html |

There's an axle bearing load problem, when wide tires are used to replace the duals used on a rig that was designed to use duals (or so they say). This topic was intensive here about a year ago... probably still lives in the archives.. |

Most busses don't qualify as SS candidates, since you need TWO dual axles in the rear for them to be warranteed/ recommended. So... three-axle Crowns, Scenics, the BIG MCI (MC6 was it)... anything else? Pretty rarified company. No bus I've ever driven would qualify, bb |

MC6s are eight wheel buses also, with 6 13.5 x 24.5 tires, and two 12.5 x 22.5 tags. See lots of SS on single axle trailers, and would like to know if they are not useable on single drive axles? Am going to do a complete tire and wheel change soon, thanks. |
