Would any of you gentlemen/ladies have any idea how I can get this set up to work. I run a belt off the now removed AC pulley to a 12 volt 140amp alternator as per instructions from a post I got off this board some time ago. I cannot get it to start charging, any info would be great. Thanks in advance

The Bosch one-wire I installed will charge in either direction. Pretty sue that's true of any alternator. I think the only difference is the cooling fan. Some are internal, some are external and some are bi-directional....like the Bosch.

The Bosch has a delay before it starts charging and it needs to see a certain RPM, although I don't know what that RPM is. If it's turning too slow, it will not turn on and start charging. May go without saying, but it also needs to be hooked to a battery. I actually know a guy that tried to connect an alternator output directly to a 12V buss bar with no battery....Then when it didn't work he took it back claiming it was bad.

Ross is correct, those one wire alternators are a pain because of the high rpm exciter requirement. On a slow turning diesel you are far better off with a regular alt with a built in reg, very simple to install.

If I were going to use one to charge house batteries only I would use one of the small GM ones from a car, they are cheap and reliable. There is a certain way to hook them up but it isn't difficult.
