Hello all,
I just became a "Bus Nut" with the purchase of a 1976 Buffalo. I'm new to the bus thing but have a bit of experience with motorhomes. I previously had a 93 Pace Arrow Diesel Pusher with a Cummins 8.3 in it. My new project has the DD 8 71. Been reading the threads for a while and all of you have answered many questions but I'm sure I'll have many more.
Just wanted to say hello.
Jesse

Hi RJ,
My Vin is P8M4905A1315

Hey,
Does anyone have an after market air ride seat? If so what all is involved in the installation? I got my hands on one for a song but I'm not sure what all I need to do to install it. I haven't picked it up yet but will in a few weeks.

Thanks for all the welcomes.

Thanks, JW

Hi Jesse:

Welcome to this crazy hobby! I have a 35' Buff, a 4108. Mine came fully converted, and had an aftermarket air ride seat. Looks like it mounts up with bolts and fender washers the way a normal seat would, then it just has an airline plumbed into the front left side. There's the large aux tank right under the driver, so getting an airline up through the floor would be cake.

I'm not too crazy about the seat, however. Adjusting the pressure for firmness then affects ride height. And if I hit a bump, it's like I'm on a bucking bronc. Yahoo!

It's not a big deal, and I probably won't replace it... but I really wouldn't want one if I had to use a clutch (mine has an Allison auto).

Just some things to consider.
