"Private Coach" usually designates one that's not for hire (not used
for public transit), and is being leased to a group or organization.

I dunno' about you, but I'd prefer a tag that says "Recreational Vehicle".

(especially when passing the DOT guys)

Hi

The Ebayer who sells them - MARC of TRAM7 PERCISION is an RTS'ers who regularly reads this board - He made them for his RTS M/H Conversion -

Then Started selling them on Ebay - Marathon liked his work and contacted Him - to make sets for their conversions - He has a Machine Shop near Detroit and does beautiful CNC engraving work then paints the letters and Finishes them off with clear coat and adds a peel off adhesive strip for attachment

He's trying to make Arcadia this year with his unfinished RTS - He sent me sets last year to sell at Ardcadia - I will do the same this year if he doesn't make the trip.

I like the private coach designation, but I wanted to put my family name and where we are from on the outside of the coach....Then I read a caution about this, said the "neer-do-wells"
can walk up to the coach at night and beat on the wall and call your name to get you to open the door.....yeah, I know, dont open the door, but if a guy is yelling "police, chuck lott,,,etc" or calling my wifes name...maybe paraniod, but a consideration nonetheless....it doesn't, however, seem a terrible risk with my bus here in the yard- ;-)

The AC units on the roof tell everyone that it is an RV, no need for signs.

I have one of these on my MCI-9 and love them. They are super sharp and very well done. After almost a year with the emblems they look brand new. I highly recommend them to anyone with a "private coach".

Grant

We always put Private Coach emblems on the side of our MCI tour buses we use in the music business. Most all of the Eagle and Prevost guys do too. Never any problem with DOT. I always thought it was right the opposite and was meant to make us look private (which we are) and not get the DOT hassles.

I saw those emblems on eBay earlier today and I will be ordering a set. They look really good in the picture.
