The lowest price for Diesel here around Twin Falls Idaho is $3.32. Two weeks ago it was $2.87. Is it going up like this everywhere? Vegetable oil is looking better and better. |

Flying J prices seem to be down slightly from what they were two weeks ago. It seems we paid about $2.85/gal. in Winchester, VA on August 4, current price is $2.79/gal. Diesel at the Flying J in Hamilton, ON was, IIRC $0.946/L (approx $3.15 USD/US gal.) on August 12 and is currently $0.939/L (approx. $3.12 USD/US Gal.)(Using exchange rate of $0.88 USD fro $1.00 CAD and 3.78 L/US Gal.). By comparison, Flying J in Saginaw is $2.97/gal. DaveD |

From Landline Magazine e-news, the US owner operator association news service: Diesel average still atop $3 mark The national average price for diesel remained relatively unchanged for the week ending Monday, Aug. 14, despite the fact some areas witnessed significant price booms. According to the U.S. Energy Information Agency, the national average price is $3.065 up a penny from last week. Its also 50 cents higher than prices the same time a year ago. The biggest jump was found in the West Coast where average prices increased 10.5 cents per gallon to $3.218. A similar boost was witnessed in the Rocky Mountain region where consumers are paying an average of $3.311 up 10.3 cents from a week ago. The price also is the highest of any region. The biggest drop was in the Lower Atlantic region, where the average price dipped 2.5 cents per gallon to $2.964 the lowest cost of any region. Other areas that witnessed decreases in average prices are the East Coast where the price per gallon fell slightly to $3.017; the Midwest, at $3.065; and the Gulf Coast, at $2.974. Other areas that experienced bumps in prices are in California, where the per-gallon price increased to $3.220; the Central Atlantic region, to $3.130; and New England, to $3.077. happy coaching! buswarrior |

Diesel averaging about 2.80 to 2.83 per gallon in central GA. Gasbuddy.com will let you select a state and zip code or county but will give you prices all over the state. You can select gas or diesel. They usually have relatively up to date prices posted. At least within the last 24 hrs. JW |

Yes, Diesel prices are still through the roof here in Minnesota. Gasoline prices have dropped over 25 cents in the past two weeks while diesel has gone up at least 10 cents. As an example, one station near me has gasoline at $2.89 and diesel is $3.25! A few places have diesel as cheap as $3.19, but $3.25 is the typical price. I think ULSD is just an excuse to make more money on diesel. Higher costs should have started back in May if the ULSD was really the cause as I believe refineries had to switch to ULSD on June 1 and you know they didn't all switch over on May 31st. Maybe it also has to do with harvest time here. Everybody is out in their farm equipment. I guess we were spoiled when it was $2.87 a couple weeks ago. |

Well Mike (Busone) with the international demand for energy pushing the envelope I see extended high prices for fossil fuels to dominate the market place. Hey Buswarior I think I do not need to subscribe to all of those high priced oil info (opis) reports. All I need to do is ask. Yes we are in the lower - middle Atlantic region. and the margins here SUCK. If you pay with a credit card we are paying you to come and fill up. Please buy a fountain soda or a Pizza, maybe we can afford a good employee,,, er Associate. 15 billion per quarter,,,,, to whom. Vege Oil Homegrown Diesel. "The diesel engine can be fed with vegetable oils and would help considerably in the development of agriculture of the countries which use it" "The use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem insignificant today. But such oils may become in course of time as important as petroleum and the coal tar products of the present time." Rudolf Diesel 1911 "I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait till oil and coal run out before we tackle that." - Thomas Edison (1847-1931) Their is no life West of the Chesapeake! Go Eastern Shore!!!!!
