I had purchased a polyethlyne (White Plastic) fresh water tank last year, it has NO fittings, it is a nicely seald water tank. I however do not know how to install inlet and outlet and vent fittings. I don't have the equipment to weld plastic. Other than cutting a larger hole in the top and installing bulkhead fittings. Is there any solvent, resin, epoxy or glue I could use? Thanks, Taffyman |

The professional tank makers spin them in. They have special fittings (of various sizes) and it is inserted into an adapter on a router. The router is turned on and the fitting spins down into the tank generating enough heat to melt the plastic. Once the plastic cools, you have a permanent welded in fitting. You might contact one of the tank manufacturers and see if you can buy some fittings. BTY, this is also how they seal a crack in a tank. Special plugs that they spin in, overlapping each other to form a pefect seal. And it works. Been there done that. Richard |

Where are you located? I got my tanks from Ardemco in Costa Mesa. I would think any rotational molded tank dealer would be happy to sell you the fittings and spin weld them in where ever you wanted them. This method will be superior to any solvents or glues, I think. Scott |

Scott, there is a place in South El Monte that makes tanks and that will spin in new fittings or repair cracks. That is where I got mine done several years ago, but I have forgotten the name of the company. They will do this on any make tank at a very reasonable price. If you can not find them in the yellow pages, let me know and I will ask my son in Riverside to try and track them down. |

Hi Richard, Thanks. I wasn't very clear, but I was directing my comments to the guy named Taffyman that is looking for fittings. I don't know where he is located so I just threw out the place in Costa Mesa where I got mine in case he was in So Cal somewhere. I am good to go on tankage. Cheers, Scott |
