Greyhound says a bus that crashed during a New York City-to-Montreal run passed its annual federal inspection just last week. At least five people were killed and more than 30 were hurt when the bus crashed through a guardrail along Interstate 87 and turned over.

Certainly a sad, sobering situation. I will be interested to see what actually caused this, although we may never know for sure.

Some of the passengers said they heard a pop that could have been a tire blowing, and the bus began careening out of control and flipped upside down. One woman was sitting in the back of the bus, looking out the window, when she heard a noise and then it went upside down. |
