Dear y'all,
I'm setting up a vehicle with a deep-cycle battery for accessory power and of course a starting battery. I was wondering (and figured someone on here would know for sure), is it bad to charge deep-cycle batteries off the alternator in a vehicle? Is it better to charge them with a real charger?

I charge a bank of four group 27 deep cycles with a Bosch 140A alternator. Seems to work well.
