Hey Thomas, I believe it is just around 6'4" I am 6'2" and there is approximately 2" between my head and the ceiling. |

Thanks Mark, that's the info I needed. I'm 5'11" and just wanted to make sure I could fit it. I'm seeing so many 4106's at good prices I can't afford not to explore the opportunities. By the way, checked out your bus page. Nice, man! You going to do a full conversion? Thanks Tom (Message edited by BusCrazyTom on September 13, 2006) |

Christopher, Oh yeah, I spend way more time than should be allowable on both the bus boards AND the bus section of E-fillet. I've seen those 4106's, and considering buying both. Thanks Tom |

Thomas, There is a real nice Gillig in Cummins GA for sale. I am not into Gilligs/Crowns but this one is in pretty good condition. Drop me an email if you want further information. |

Mark, Thanks, but I'm not much into skoolies for my particular application. I think the lack of underbay space & other limitations of them would be more than I could deal with. Highway transit coach is the ticket. Thanks Tom |

Thomas - From official GMC Literature, the floor > ceiling height of the 4106 at the aisle is 75-21/32". FYI, Gillig also built three-axle pusher models with baggage bins. The US Border Patrol ran a whole bunch of them out here on the left coast. 8V71s w/ 10-spd RoadRangers, would run about 85 in 10th. HTH. . . |

RJ, Thanks for the spot-on info as always. I had no idea about the 3 axle pusher Gilligs. I've seen a load of Gillig's, but none like you described. Maybe we never had many on the east coast, I'm not sure. Most of our skoolies here are either Thomas or Blue Bird. Thanks again.
