Have another question on stripping out my MCI 9.
I plan on using the coach heat and air conditioning for a while
Can the air ducts that run the length of the bus be removed and still use the bus system or do they have to remain to get heat and air in the whole bus?

Hi Carl:
To quickly answer your question, YES.
Now what you have to take into consideration is that all of the forced air comes up from the blower compartment through 2 holes in the floor, (one on each side of the coach) then into the duct, and then comes out at the windows, along the full length of the coach.
So now you must decide where you want the heat or A/C to come out. You will have to decide how to duct it to the area where you want comfort and perhaps you can build it in such a way that you can shut of the air flow in one area to increase the same air flow in another area.
The further you get down stream from the air source, the less the flow, much the same as in your home.
Another consideration to remember is that HOT AIR rises (HEAT) and COLD AIR falls (air-conditioning). With this in mind, you might want to consider at what level you have you have your vents.
I HOPE THIS HELPS!!! and GOOD LUCK with you project.
