The 4104 that I just purchased has this speedo on it's dash. Needs a new cable (at the transmission) but told that it works. Anybody with any information on this thing? I cant seem to find any.

Hi Ron are you shure the speedo cable goes to the trans? You might want to look behind the drivers side front wheel at the spindle knuckle. Some 4104 buses had a front speedo drive that had a small shaft through the center of the spindel and drove from the bearing cap. My 1957 4104 has this option. Tim

I followed the cable from the speedo to the trans. The cable is broken at the transmission, but the housing is still attached. The cable is in several sections. It looks like I will need to have one made up.

Where can I source an electronic Speedometer?
Someone had put one on my bus but the sensor at the wheel is damaged. The only "logo" is a "KK" on the face of the speedometer.
