Bob I expect you have a load of bugs and jellyfish in the tank, especially if it's cold there. You can try adding fuel stabilizer, or, if possible, empty the tank and get fresh fuel (preferable). To be sure, try running the engine on a can of fresh fuel instead of the bus tank. There are folks who will cleanse the existing fuel; maybe you can check the archives. Been there. Good luck Don |

When I bought my bus I had air leaks in the fuel system, this can cause that also. I fixed the leaks and then got a can of diesel[I set it on the engine door while open] and got a siphon going then connected the hose to primary filter [in] bled air out of filters and started, when most of the fuel from the gallon can was gone I shut down and reconnected to the supply from the tank,it has run good ever since. |

Dear Glen: Check the skinner valve. Unplug the wires to it and if the bus keeps running, bad valve. Ron |

Glen: Just for future reference; the skinner valve is a shut off valve that cuts off the fuel, and then stops the motor. It is controled by an air line. On Eagles, most if not all of the time the air pressure has to reach at least 60 psi before the skinner valve will shut the air flow off. If the valve is bad, then it will shut down the motor on it's own. I'm not sure if your bus has one or not. Glad to hear your up and running. Ron |

Thanks ron I know the valve you mean, just didn't know what to call it. I have started the bus and had it die when it started to build up air.[I forgot to turn on the switch.] |
