I've placed a nice 120 v.a.c. air compressor in the curb-side engine bay of my MC 96A3, and I am stymied at how to run electrical cable there from my main load panel upstairs. Must this go through the rearmost bay's bulkhead, and then be tacked to the ceiling of the drive train area? If so, is rain water and exposure a problem? Can it go over the wheel well inner fenders?
Any suggestions would be ppreciated!

Mike,
If you run it above the rear axle, put it inside conduit to protect it. Anyting in the wheel well area faces the risk of destruction in the case of a tire failure. Do you have any chases inside the coach that the wire could be run though to the rear inside corner and then drop through the floor? Hope this helps, Jack

I did this and ran conduit from interior curb side wall/floor corner thru bulkhead, with a heavy metal sleeve around, then nicely sealed.

If you do this, BE SURE to drill some small test holes first, as there are structural members right in the corner. If you do a few test holes, you can locate the structural members and move up and over for the final hole. I made mine about 1.5" in diameter.

If I remember right, you have to come up about 1.5" and over about the same to avoid the members. I couldn't see any other way to do it other than using the tunnel, but getting to the back end of the tunnel is impossible without runup blocks. (which are still on my very long list :-))

...and yes - after it exits the bulkhead, heading southward, it comes out above where the factory RR tank used to be. You can run it right up there, then down in the area where the tag valves are, no prob.
