I have a good running 8v71 with an allison 740 have no idea on the mileage but it starts fine in cold weather no smoke after it starts |

As with everyhthing else, it depends on who is doing the buying/selling and the motivation behind each move.
If I were to guess I'd put the allison between 1500 and 2500, and the detroit at 500-1200 |

Without seeing them in operation, they are worth something less than core prices, which is just about where Bob puts them, maybe a little high on the Allison. Reason being, they may turn out to be bad cores. I know a guy that bought 3 8v92s thinking he would get at least one engine from them; wrong. |
