I have a buyer for my 1981 mc-9 but we can't
find anyone that finances that year.
any idea how does. |

Home equity or something like that is the only way. No lender will take the title on anything that old. That's why it's so hard to sell a really nice older conversion. It almost takes a cash buyer.

almost all buses are cash
unless this is some kid that is trying to buy your bus...if the guy has done business before,(other purchases,other loans ) ...he should be able to go to his banker & get a personal loan |

If they're credit worthy their own commercial bank would be the logical choice - the amount they will loan is the biggest variable - FWIW |

Our credit union gave us an RV loan for our '78 coach/ 2001 conversion. They just required an appraisal, which we needed for insurance anyways.

On our first bus purchase we did exactly what Brian did only thru a regular local bank. An appraisal had to be done in order to get the loan. Once they say actually saw what it was worth and the insurance company saw that it wasn't za commercial bus, it was no problem. Since then we have lent ourselves the money to purchase our last two buses using our 401K. It's like a loan but using your own money from your savings. YES, you have to pay it back but at a much better rate without penalties, than any bank or keep it out entirely and HAVE to pay the penalties!
Worked flawlessly for us!

Funny you should ask! The guy's agent called us last night and offered us an offer at 2K above our offer and we just got home from filling out a NEW contract. We shall know for sure by 5pm tomorrow and this time I think it's a done deal!
I look so forward to all the new work of moving and remodeling both houses not necessarily in that order!
Glad tghe bus is liveable! I'm gonna need it!

I got a 2.9% cash advance on my credit card (NOT one of those that raise the rates after a short time) to buy my MC-8. It seemed to be the best way for me.
