I have a Spicer 1062B 6 speed transmission in beautiful shape for 400.00. Same gearbox used in 1980's vintage Prevosts and MCI's. Includes the clutch assembly.

I was wanting to know more about installing a 10 speed roadranger in a 1970 Eagle 05, now it has a 4speed manual.

Bob greeenwood could you tell me more about 4x3 12 speed?
Is it a simple change out or is there alot of frame cutting and modifying required?
Thanks

almost all swaps you will have to change driveshaft lenghts.the standad H-pattern thru 4 gears, then you hit a air switch on the shifter & go thru the same four again, then you hit another switch on the shifter & go thru the same 4 again, not a simple job, probably needs 200 feet of air hose ,comes with the shifter to install next to driver.if I remember correctly top gear is .84 overdrive,& I imagine you wouldn't use the first 4 gears unless you were tackeling something really steep from take off,I have an extra 4 speed & it apears to be 'about' the same length, but much fatter trans than the 4 speed,it would take someone with knowledge & time to hook it up

Carter. It will fit fine. 9 speed 10 speed 13 speed all fit. The only hard part is the change over to 1 shift bar from 2 assuming you now have a 4 speed stick.

I am just completing a change in my MC-7 from 4 speed to a 10 speed RTO (not all 10 speeds have overdrive), I changed to a pull type clutch, adapter plate on your bell housing and the small trans clutch housing worked for me.

This is one of the assembly befor installation. To clear the turbo we cut a 16" sq. out of the floor and ran the shift rod (from a 5 speed Prevo) down the tunnel and out the floor.
