Hi All I need some words of encouragement from any one that has raised the roof on your MC7. Since the walls taper inward starting at the bottom of the window line I am at a loss on where to start. Thanks for any help, Duane |

Duane, check out Muddog16's blog. He's raised his prevost roof and documented on there pretty well. His walls were tapered at the top too. You will see he just raised his window sill. Inginious solution I thought. I cant help you as I have an Eagle. See ya...Steve |

If I remember right the 7 has the stepped roof to begin with. If you raise it from that point back it should be do-able with about 6 boat lift jacks and a sawzall, and a welder. I think the best place to slice them is under the windows too. Raising the drivers area could be a pain in the poopdeck. I would cut under the windshield for that if you decide to do that too. |

Save time and get a shorter girl friend, after all the work of building the bus you will be bent over and short yourself. |

MC7 roof raise. Cut through the posts of the side windows and across the back. At the front go to the top of the triangle windows and cut the header off. If you want to lift the front cut above the windshield header, install a cap and build a new frame to it. You can alsolift the windshield header and use MC8 glass. On early MC7 (hinged bay doors)the floor could be lowered 5" back to the rear of the last bay. |
