I am starting to skin my eagle. I have purchased, read and reread Dave Galey's book on riveting. Good book (I guess)if you do not know what a rivet is. I had hoped for more suggestions on rivets for applications. I am using 14 guage aluminum for my roof. Which rivet is needed? Do I need counter sunk rivets where the gutter will be? What rivets are used for the fluted siding? If anyone has been here, I would greatly appreciate their input. VERN R

You will have to start thinking in terms of thousands of an inch, and dash numbers (as in dash-8 length) if you are going to do rivet work. Gauge numbers are for tin-knockers doing duct work. If your roof edge goes down over the edge of your gutter, you will need flush (countersunk) rivets. See my posts to linc under RIVETS. HTH, and Cheers...JJ
