Hi guys not sure if this link will show up.....has any one driven from lake havasu, az to olancha, ca? i have a friend i want to go stay with for a few weeks, in Olancha, Ca....want to know if the route is "bus worthy" to get there....


Turn RIGHT onto AZ-95. 18.7 miles Map

6: Merge onto I-40 W via the ramp on the LEFT (Crossing into CALIFORNIA). 164.6 miles Map

7: I-40 W becomes I-15 S. 3.4 miles Map

8: Merge onto CA-58 W toward BAKERSFIELD. 30.0 miles Map

9: Turn RIGHT onto 97.7 miles Map

10: End at Olancha, CA US

Kristine,
Ca 395 is definitely busworthy. It is all at least two lane, and over half is four lane. 395 is mostly high-desert, not a windy road, and not a lot of traffic. Kind of a trip back in time, as you go thru the middle of several of the old towns that were never bypassed. Watch your speed. It also looks like some of the directions are missing? Line 9 should read "turn right onto 395, at Kramer Jct," then 97.7 miles.
Do you remember the "Starting up a 25 year old Flex thread from a couple of months ago? I'm pretty sure it is/was at the Northwest corner of 58 & 395 at Kramer Jct. Anyhow, my only caveat is to not be low on fuel or water, as it is a long way between civilization out there.

We came out of death valley that way with a 40' Prevost ... no problems, road was good.
