I'm still on the hunt for tires and Mark (see other thread) sez he'll furnish a Michelin XZB tire that is made in Canada. I can'f find this tire model on any of Michelin's info. Anyone know of it? Thanks, dg |

Kinda thought so, but he says these are not blems. If I can't find it in any of the Michelin literature, I think I'll pass... Thanks. |

I found michelin XZB at Mantrac corp. Shows as a Michelin tire with traction tread like a winter tread on a car. Appears to be a non USA tire.I wouldn't fool with it.... what if one fails on the road? You'll never find a match for it. Do a web search for Michelin XZB. |

John, thanks... do you have a link for the Mantrac listing? I've Google'd Michelin XZB and come up empty... you're right... think I'll pass... |

Found it on Yahoo by searching Michelin XZB. Most of the sites that come up are in Japaneese or Chineeze? |

Hey guys, while were on the tire subject. What do youall think about 24.5 inch tires. Thats whats on my bus now. I havent checked, but is that a special order tire?? I see alot of yall taking about 22.5 inch tires. Are these a more popular size?? Thanks .....Steve |

Steve, If you have 11R24.5 now you should be very happy. It just don't get any better than that. It was the standard commercial over the road truck and trailer tire, (as in most common) for 20+ years. The 11R22.5 has become somewhat more/equally popular due to its smaller size for aerodynamic uses in the past 10 or so years. Both sizes are heavily used at this time. If you were to put smaller tires and wheels on your coach it would loose aprox 5 MPH in top speed and be more prone to drag the ground in all situations. |
