My Dometic quit working on A/C.Only works on LPG.
I checked the A/C and D/C all seems to be okey.Light goes on when I open the door(not real sure if it goes out when I close it)o). It's not very old maybe 400 or 500 hours on it.

Hi Bob, you issue could be a number of things when trouble shooting the frig. If the unit works on the LPG side then you can rule out the t-stat if one like the older models. If the newer models has two t-stats, I would start there.
Another area will be you a/c votage to your unit. If you do have votage, your next problem area to look is the control board.
I hope this info will guide you to resolving your problem. Be sure to look into your mannual trouble shooting guide. The internet will give you a great deal of info as well
let me know.

You can narrow the problem down further...

First, unplug the fridge and disconnect the DC to it...

Then, locate the -AC- heater wires that go from the control board
and into the chimney, and disconnect those leads from the control
board (don't confuse the AC with the DC wires!).

Temporarily hard-wire an AC plug to those wires, and plug it
into your AC supply.

Doing that will eliminate the board, and the thermostat, and
allow you to see if the heating coil is working as it should.
If you weren't feeling the chimney get hot before (on AC),
you should feel it getting hot now...

If not hot, it's the coil. If it does get hot, I'd suspect the thermostat.
Thermostats are cheap... The boards are not... Don't replace
what you don't have to.

Hi Bob,

Sounds like a 95% chance you only burnt out the electric element that heats the amonia. A simple continunity test will determine that.
Good Luck
