No such thing. My guess is that you saw a typo where someone was thinking 8V92, meant 8V71 and typed 8V72...

It means that each cylinder is 71 cubic inches in size miltiplied by the number of cylinders. As in 8V71= 71X8=568 cubic inches.>>>8V92=736 inches 6V92=552 Ect.>>>Dan

The 8V72 DD Diesel was a Marine engine used by the US Navy it develops 283 HP at 2800 RPM.

As well the 92 series engine have wet liners . most are turboed and blower make great horse power . some down falls like mains , and if you dont maitian PH level they can eat away liner bores . They have more fuel savings with the dedec stuff .
