Does anyone know the O.E.# for the shocks for a 1985 Eagle Model 10? Has anyone switched to Bilsteins or Koni shocks if so do you have the part Numbers. Thanks: J.C. |

I replaced the shocks on my Eagle 10 with OEM and still had problems in a few thousand miles. (porpoising). I replaced with Bilstein adjustable air shocks and it eliminated the problem completely. Best move I have made. Dave at Southern Oregon Diesel replaced them. I do not know the part number. Richard |

I did not know that Bilstein made air adjustable shocks. Are they the type that can level out the vehicle a bit? |

Lin, two things. I do not recall for sure that they were Bilstein or Gabriel. Regardless, they are adjustable in the amount of absorbing of shock they do. You can set them for low, medium or high absorbing. They do not level the vehicle any at all. Richard |

Lin the shocks that Richard has are Gabriel 89-425 Gas adjustable you can get them from Autozone for $49.95 these should be used only on the front for the drive and bogie you should use Gabriel 85-314. Monroes the # is 74025 not to good for the front. Koni are 90-2209 adjustable very expensive over $100. each. These numbers are for the Model 10 Eagle. |
