Would anyone have a number that I can reference locally for a front wheel seal on a 4106? This turned out to be a last minute thing before my trip, so I was hoping to get a seal before pulling the hub.

Thanks in advance,

Laryn

Here is a C/R # 40086. Around $27 each.

You are welcome. I had new tires put on our 4106 and one of the studs got striped so I replaced all of them and the seal. I keep a log of part numbers that I use easer to get parts when you want them. Have a safe and fun trip

Erik,

Thanks again for the seal number. I called skf and crossed referenced it to their Scotseal plus XL. This worked out well because some slacky mechanic buggered up the seat the last time a race was installed, so I needed the outside sealing ability that the XL offered. One added bonus; it requires no tools, only need to push it into place with your fingers. This is the first time I have used one, so only time will tell. From everything I read this seems to be what I needed. It pays to shop around, the 40086 was quoted from $37 (Industrial Supply), $65 (Allied Industries), $27 (NAPA). The 40091 seal at NAPA was $32.

Here is the link to the Scotseal plus XL:
