I need to replace the small non-opening windows on my 4905 and I am looking for the dimensions of the openings for the original windows. I know the windows lean foreward and are not square, but height and lenth squaring off the holes would be much appreciated. I will be re-siding just enough to do the job with aluminum, but I want to have my windows before I tear anything apart. I know about penninsula's, but they are a little out of my price range for now. I also plan to replace the Big "D" window and the small "D" behind the door. You can see the long horizontal rectangle window and the small rear window. Only the small one at the rear and the one in the Big "D" open. |

I bought RV windows, crank open w/screens for $25 ea at surplus stores in Elkhart area. Many sizes to choose from at that time. I found 2 6ft long, 2 5ft long, 1 4ft long and 3 about 20" long, all 22" high. They were all radiused corners but brown. I had to paint them Trim Black but price included screens and interior trim. Crank outs do not have the "original bus look" but they can be opened and closed without messing with the screen, open about 80% of their area and can be open in light rain. Far superior to the cobbled up mess I was going to make by modifying the old ones for screens. "You pays your money and you takes your choice." Jim Stacy |
