Guys:
A friend of mine who owns a salvage yard just got in an Eagle. I think it is a mid-70's Model 01, but it does have a Model 10 dash that is in good condition (although that's about all on this unit that is good). My Eagle (80 Model 10) is a Model 10 in every way except for the dash. It is my understanding that this was a transition year and they used whatever they had left over from Model 05's in some instances.

My question is: How hard is it to change out the dash? Will the Mod 10 gauges work with the wiring that I currently have, or is it a major operation? Any thoughts, suggestions, etc.

My 1968 Eagle 01 was the last one made, tag behind the driver. The very next number 7444 was an 05, tag in front of the driver. Just to clarify your statement, that's all.
If you have a wiring schematic you could check numbers, I have one for the 01 and 05, but not the 10. If the numbers match, you should not have any problem. Just see what wire goes to which gauge, then transfer it over to yours.
I am sure others with more knowledge will be glad to answer if I'm wrong.

Buddy, I think you might like a custom wood dash much more than a stock dash. I've seen several that were beautiful and not really much harder than what you are thinking.

in 1980 Eagle offered both the Model 05(the last production year) and the new Model 10. the Model 05 was updated with a 10 exterior but still had the standard dash and was offered stock w/ the 8v71/4 spd still, i think. is your bus a Model 05 maybe? as for a new dash, i called the new Eagle up looking for one, and the parts guy dan told me that theyu can have them made out of fiberglass instead of the standard molded plastic and its about $320.

Hi Paul (Dreamscape) is your Eagle the one that used to belong to the couple here in Florida? It looks familiar!

Hi Ace, Yes it is. I tried to call them, you even gave me their phone number. No reply or answer. Sorry it took so long to reply, just saw the message.

Yea I don't know what's going on over there! Only one I know that has talked to them is Jack Conrad and I think even that is limited conversations! They have cut themselves off from the whole world it seems!

Well Jack would be a better contact than myself. Like I said, they just shut the door on almost everyone around them but I think Jack or Paula talk to them occasionally!
I just hope they are doping ok. We bought our first bus from them as well and they don't live that far away! Would loved for them to come over sometime!
